I love their fish tacos!!!!!!!! I get the combo tacos every time with okra. They melt cheese to the tortilla and top each with a different type of fish (catfish, calamari, and blackened shrimp) and a different type of slaw. My favorite one is the catfish one because I take off the jalapenos and it's not too spicy but if you like spicy, the shrimp ones are the best! Their okra is cut long ways and fried and DELICIOUS. Austin is one of the few places in the world that can make an old trailer park cool. "The Grove" is incredibly popular for its outdoor seating, good food and drinks. This place is a lot of fun and the Green Chili Cheese fries are the best type of french fry I've eaten. Boudin is an institution in California and the bakery has evolved into a giant shop in the wharf district. The breads are delicious and should be combined with local meats and cheeses, taken to a park and consumed in the awesome beauty of this great city. The employees interact with the public through a large glass viewing window into the bakery and their is an intercom to talk with the bakers. |

There are six locations in Seattle and offered at Starbucks nationwide. I am not a fan of donuts pulled from a cooler, but if you can't get to Seattle and pick one up at Starbucks, ask for it to be heated for a few seconds...this allows the fats to party with the sugars and starch--oh, and donuts like to party. There is a great selection of flavors and textures for these "Hand-Forged" delights.

I have very little knowledge of steaks. I was denied the pleasure of eating steak as a child because it was not readily available in Hawaii and was very expensive. I didn't know what I was missing and life moved forward until I ordered my 1st steak at a restaurant when I was 22--a shame I know. Today I trust my friends for their knowledge of steak dining and ate with carnivores at N9NE in the Palm's in Las Vegas. The meal was amazing and I was mesmerized by the Porterhouse for two. N |
