Six Feet Under

http://www.sixfeetunderatlanta.com/
Seafood - Atlanta, GA
I love their fish tacos!!!!!!!!  I get the combo tacos every time with okra.  They melt cheese to the tortilla and top each with a different type of fish (catfish, calamari, and blackened shrimp) and a different type of slaw.  My favorite one is the catfish one because I take off the jalapenos and it's not too spicy but if you like spicy, the shrimp ones are the best!  Their okra is cut long ways and fried and DELICIOUS.  I even dip mine in Tartar sauce.  To quench my thirst I

Birdie's Wings

http://www.birdieswings3.com/
Seafood - Hiram, GA
This is a Bar and Grill type place with live music and TV's. It's fun for the kids with arcades and KIDS EAT FREE EVERYDAY!!! Awesome, right? Well, we like to go on Tuesday and Saturday when they have ALL YOU CAN EAT CRAB LEGS! These crab legs are huge and made just right! So juicy and easy to crack! Most places serve the big ones for your first plate and then you get small, skinny things the rest of the time, that just aren't worth the work. These are all hanging off the plate and huge! The price is r

The Waffle House

http://www.wafflehouse.com
Diner - Douglasville, GA
For people in the western US, the Waffle House is not well known.  After living in the South for 10 years, the Waffle House is a place to do business or eat with the family and have fun.  This restaurant works to serve the local truck driver, farmer and random tourist pulling off the interstate lured to the Waffle House by the large yellow block lights.   To the Foodie crowd and Diner purist this recommendation may be pushing the definition but for me and the family, we love the food and dini

The Shady Grove

http://www.theshadygrove.com
Fries - Austin, TX
Austin is one of the few places in the world that can make an old trailer park cool.  "The Grove" is incredibly popular for its outdoor seating, good food and drinks.  This place is a lot of fun and the Green Chili Cheese fries are the best type of french fry I've eaten.  Served as an appetizer and meant to be shared this rich, spicey, cheesey is served over fresh cut potatoes.

Boudin Bakery

http://www.boudinbakery.com
Bakery - San Francisco, CA
Boudin is an institution in California and the bakery has evolved into a giant shop in the wharf district. The breads are delicious and should be combined with local meats and cheeses, taken to a park and consumed in the awesome beauty of this great city.  The employees interact with the public through a large glass viewing window into the bakery and their is an intercom to talk with the bakers.

Top Pot Donuts

http://www.toppotdoughnuts.com
Doughnut - Seattle, WA
There are six locations in Seattle and offered at Starbucks nationwide. I am not a fan of donuts pulled from a cooler, but if you can't get to Seattle and pick one up at Starbucks, ask for it to be heated for a few seconds...this allows the fats to party with the sugars and starch--oh, and donuts like to party.  There is a great selection of flavors and textures for these "Hand-Forged" delights. Top Pot Doughnuts invites you to join us on our delicious journey of good taste. From our uniquely designed

N9NE

http://www.n9negroup.com
Steak - Las Vegas, NV
I have very little knowledge of steaks.  I was denied the pleasure of eating steak as a child because it was not readily available in Hawaii and was very expensive.  I didn't know what I was missing and life moved forward until I ordered my 1st steak at a restaurant when I was 22--a shame I know. Today I trust my friends for their knowledge of steak dining and ate with carnivores at N9NE in the Palm's in Las Vegas.  The meal was amazing and I was mesmerized by the Porterhouse for two.  N

Burritowrap - Sacamento, CA
300 12th StSacramento, CA 95814(916) 443-7118   My introduction to a "wrap" before the world of burritos and wraps became household terms.  My recollection is a tasty wrap with great green salsa, bacon, beans and other goodies.  Another old dive in industrial Sacamento near a recycling yard and large warehouses.

Kebab Gyros Greek & Italian

http://
Salad - Nashville, TN
389 Murfreesboro RdNashville, TN 37210-2854 (615) 244-9444‎ Affectionately known as the "Gyro Barn" you could drive by this Ethiopian-run Gyro store 100 times and not think of stopping in to eat...take a closer look through the glass doors at lunch time and the crowds give away a great secret.  The Gyro salad is excellent, with Gyro meat, onion, tomato, lettuce, dressing and slices of pita bread.  I prefer to add heaping amounts of dried chilis.  This place holds great m
