Stopped here for lunch. Had the pulled pork BBQ sandwich. It was very very good! Service was very good and a great atmopshere. They also brew their own beer which is always an experience. If you're into that kind of thing. |

Chesapeake's Seafood Househttp://www.chesapeakes.com/chesSite.shtmlSeafood - Knoxville, TN |

Considering I'm from PA (only 10 minutes from Maryland) I've grown up eating seafood. I definitely wasn't expecting anything great. I was wrong! I thoroughly enjoyed my meal. The crab bisque was excellent. Also had the steamed clams and mussels in a white wine sauce - fantastic! Could have had more clams and less mussels though. Filet was cooked perfect and the crab cake was ALL crab meat. All in all I can't wait to go back and try some other things from there menu. |

Brats and sweet, tangy red cabbage, I love it! I also love the question by the hostess of whether to sit in the Tavern or the Dining Room. Either way you win at this historic restaurant. Be sure to make your way there for Oktoberfest 2009. |

Yes, filing this recommendation under "shake"...BUBBLE TEA is quite the misnomer but I am calling it the replacement for Dippin' Dots the ice cream of the future, but the future came and went. Neither Tea nor Bubble in my book, this conconction is fruit smoothie with gummy-bear-esue balls in the bottom of the cup. A large straw sucks up these mounds of chewy joy, closest in taste to a Gummi Coke Bottle. Now that I am back from Texas, we ar |

Duke'shttp://www.dukeswaikiki.com/Seafood - waikiki, HI |

Duke's (right on the beach) has incredible fish. Recommend both the opa and the mong chong. Just watch out for the killer salad bar that precedes the main course. Great for large groups, but will need a reservation and to get there early. They also have a great breakfast buffet. In the evenings, the trio of local ladies (on ukulele, guitar, and bass) that stroll from table to table top off a great experience. |

Kaiwahttp://www.kai-wa.com/oahu/index/Asian - Honolulu, HI |
|
Kaiwa (it means river in Japanese). Kaiwa is on Lewers right in downtown Waikiki. The fact that you're the only haole there is a clue that you're in for some great Japanese food. I recommend the sake flight, they have incredible sake. Also, recommend the japanese pumpkin and asparagas dish along with the dish that features thinly sliced pork wrapped around enoki mushrooms (can't remember the name). Great restaurant! |

Ted's Montana Grillhttp://www.tedsmontanagrill.com/Hamburger - Atlanta, GA |
|
Ted's is a good place to eat for the food and for the leadership in sustainable products. First the food: Bison burgers are delicious and the kids meals are very substantial. Second, the straws are paper, the soap in the bathrooms is Boraxo gritty powder. There are nice touches to Ted's and each location has reliable service. |

Those who know me understand how cheap I am. If you are looking for great seafood at a good price, try the Marietta Fish Market. Great selection. Some of the biggest lobsters I have ever seen. Try the grilled flounder. |

Bruster's Real Ice Creamhttp://www.brusters.comIcecream - Multiple Locations, AL |

They make all their ice cream in-house, with unique, tasty ingredients. Somehow, their mint chocolate ice cream just tastes more minty. I definitely recommend trying a scoop to see what you think! |
