Aunt Carrie'shttp://www.auntcarriesri.com/Seafood - Narragansett, RI |
|
If you're looking for the stereotypical New England chowder shack for dinner after a day at the beach, Carrie's is it. Grab some take-out and sit on the picnic tables outside and enjoy the last of the day. Great chowder and clam cakes. Reasonably priced, too. Located in Narragansett on Ocean Road just south of Scarborough beach. Note that they close for the season in late September and reopen in May. Check their web site for exact dates. |

The Park Tavernhttp://www.parktavern.comMyfood - Atlanta, GA |

There are few places that can pull off a menu of sushi, burgers and a brewery and The Park Tavern is the only such place in beautiful Piedmont Park in Atlanta. We love parking our car on the opposite side of "Atlanta's Central Park" and taking a meandering stroll around the park to the Tavern. Often the location for wedding receptions and outdoor music, the Tavern is a hit for young and old. |

Zola Italian Bistrohttp://Italian - Alpharetta , GA |

So good I drive over an hour in Atlanta traffic to meet my family there for dinner! When we get there, the waiter knows what wine we like and treats us like special guests. ALWAYS order the special! And if you take the kids, make sure you taste the sauce on their maranara!
I hear they have another location as well? |

The Friendly Toasthttp://Breakfast - Portsmouth , NH |

I'll begin my recommendation the way the place was recommended to me: OMFG!
Eclectic atmosphere and very creative menu. I have no idea what I ordered - or why they would put that together, but I am certain I have never seen it featured anywhere else and it was awesome! The portions were huge. The taste was spectacular. I think they said the place was open 24 hours on the weekend? That's good because if I lived or summered there I think I would be there often ordering all |

Barkers Red Hotshttp://www.barkersredhots.comHotdog - Marietta, GA |
|
Aaahhh! Tastes like home! Char grilled hot dogs - with hot sauce. And I won't eat just any hot dog - these are Sahlen's dogs! Beef on weck is awesome and the grouper is pretty good too (if you are trying to be healthy at a hot dog joint...)
The main difference between this place and home is that it's so darned clean...
Enjoy!

Sweet Cakes Kirklandhttp://www.sweetcakeskirkland.com/Bakery - Kirkland, WA |

OMG... For the first time in a VERY long time I was able to partake in bakery items that didn't taste like dirt (or off) because they were gluten free. Thanks to a recomendation from a friend I found my way to the East Side of Lake Washington and the charming downtown walking community of Kirkland where I enjoyed Halloween cupakes from Sweet Cakes. Sweet Cakes had a beautiful assortment of items of both gluten free and gluten containing items. The cupcakes were sweet and tender but didn't fall apart like ma |

Zaw Pizzahttp://www.zaw.com/Pizza - Seattle, WA |
|
I have to add Zaw for very specific reasons. Is it the best pizza in town, hands down no, but does it fill a very special niche that I appreciate, absolutely. Zaw pizza in Seattle, is a take and bake kinda place (and they actually will deliver via bicycle as well) Why I think Zaw is great is that they offer you the choice of gluten free crust. While this might seem unimportant to most, to those of us with Celiac Disease it's actually really nice to be able to "have a pizza delivered" that tastes pretty good |
