We went there for lunch and it's busy for a reason! The food is good, the atmosphere is classy, but not stuffy. Mark and I shared some black bean soup, sandwiches and fries. Mmmmm..... |

So unique, so delicious, just a lot of fun! This was a breakfast destination for us anytime we were in Louisville (which is a REALLY cool and interesting place in itself). If you are in the area, make it a destination and you won't be disappointed. Funky, fun and yummy! |

Great food that is comforting and unique at the same time. They pride themselves on using the freshest ingredients and it shows. I highly recommend! |

Dough In A Box3184 Austell Rd SWDoughnut - |
|
A tiny little doughnut shop, tucked into a tiny little storefront on a very busy road, Dough In A Box is a place you might have passed a hundred times before you ever noticed it. You are in luck, though, if you do notice it, pull into the parking lot, go inside and order some doughnuts. They are delicious! We tried a bit of each type they sell - yeast raised, cake, fritters - and each was tasty. I have to say, though, that the cake doughnuts are the BEST! I found them to be more moist than most of the cake |

They make all their ice cream in-house, with unique, tasty ingredients. Somehow, their mint chocolate ice cream just tastes more minty. I definitely recommend trying a scoop to see what you think! |

Moe's Southwest Grillhttp://www.moes.comBurritowrap - |

It is a chain, so can be found in lots of different places, which is good because it is my son's all-time favorite place to go! They make a solidly good burrito - chicken, steak, ground beef, tofu or veggie - with delicious rice, beans, etc. They also have salads, nachos and quesadillas. There is plenty to choose from on the silly menu! |

Blue Eyed Daisy at Serenbehttp://www.blueeyeddaisy.com/Sandwich - |

Serenbe is such an interesting community: creative, artistic, elegant and rustic. The Blue Eyed Daisy is just perfect for the retail area. Their menu is limited, but the food is delicious! Try their handmade pimento cheese or a free baked cookie after a stroll around the community or a visit to the Farmer's Market. Just lovely. |

An Austin stand-by for a quick, fresh and delicious lunch! My favorites are: the Veggie Delite, the Austin Club, Mesquite Smoked Chicken and just regular Turkey. The bread is delicious, the folks are friendly and each Thundercloud Sub shop exudes the unique Austin-attitude! |

I like the clean, old-school diner lines of Johnny Rocket's restaurants. The burgers are great - with lots of different types for pretty much anyone who eats meat - as are the fries, onion rings and shakes! |

A great place to eat in Villa Rica, GA, you might ask?! Yes, actually. I don't know how it happened, but tucked away in Villa Rica's historic downtown is a fantastic, New Orleans inspired restaurant. Their menu includes such deliciousness as: Cajun Eggrolls, Garlic Crusted Oysters, Crab Cakes, and Gumbo - and that's before you get to the entrees! |

Best for a grown-ups only experience, the food is delicious and the portions are HUGE. The sangria comes in an enormous pitcher and is very tasty! The Camarones Alambres, Tampiquena, and Pollo Relleno are great places to start. Either while you are waiting for your table or after you've enjoyed your meal, head next door to peruse all the home decor items they import from Mexico. |

I've only been to the Westside location on Howell Mill Road, but I'm sure the food is just as delicious at the other three locations. Unique tacos are the stars of the menu, and the margaritas come in pitchers! If the line is long, head up to the bar and get a beverage to sip while you wait. Remember, the line is long because the food is good! |

This small restaurant came as a recommendation from my sister-in-law, who said we just HAD to eat breakfast here after we moved to the Atlanta area. She lives in Washington state! Her recommendation was spot-on! The biscuits are different and yummy - the delicious apple sauce spread they give you with them is amazing - the omlettes are unique and tasty; it is hard to go wrong. Enjoy! |

I've eaten a lot of barbeque in my day and I have to say this is my favorite place. It might be that seating is more or less family style, it might be that you can order tons of food, but it is probably mostly because it is some of the best barbeque I've had. Now, I'm from Texas, so this is Texas-style barbeque, but The Salt Lick is what I'm thinking about when I'm thinking about barbeque. |

We love the laid-back atmosphere and delicious pizza at Fabiano's! Wednesdays are Family Night and you can get a large pizza (with 2 toppings), an appetizer (healthy- spinach salad; less healthy - pepperoni rolls) and 4 drinks for $20! The pizza is awesome and this is an unexpected gem in downtown Douglasville. |

There are multiple recommendations on this site for Torero's because the food really is that good. They take pride in serving a menu that is different from most of the Mexican restaurants in the area. You will not find cheese sauce slathered over everything, but you will find fresh mushroom salsa, delicious bean dip, amazing Pollo Chipotle and one of the best margaritas I've ever had! |

Six Feet Underhttp://www.sixfeetunderatlanta.comMyfood - |

I struggled with the category for this restaurant: they serve great tacos AND hamburgers. Plus they have a great selection of beer and the atmosphere can't be beat (Six Feet Under, right across the street from Oakland Cemetery). Try these and have a great meal: Home Style Chips served with creamy dill dip; Lump Crab Cakes served atop fresh spinach and topped with corn, micro greens and mustard sauce; any of the tacos or a combo of all three; any of the po' boys; a burger; and the zucchini fries. YUM! |

Many locations across the country and all serving good food at a good price. You can eat healthy and not just limit yourself to a salad (though they have a salad bar). Your children can eat well, too, with a choice of fruit or veggie will most kids meals. Plus, when your meal is completed there is always the free soft-serve ice cream to top it all off! |

| About Me |
| I'm Mom to Judy (7) and Finn (4) and wife to Mark. We like to travel and learn new things. Our favorite places to go around here are to the Georgia Aquarium, Zoo Atlanta, Stone Mountain, Sweetwater Creek State Park. In our down time, we walk, swim or ride bikes in our neighborhood. I like reading, hiking, watching good movies, going on road trips with Mark and discovering new, great places to eat! |
| What food could you eat everyday for a week? |
| Doughnuts - Krispy Kreme doughnuts! |
| What is your favorite meal of all time? |
| I would have to say our dinner at Cuvee in NOLA. We met some friends there who know one of the owners, who we also got to meet, then were seated to one of the most delicious meals of my life. I want to go back.... |
| What is the most bizarre food you have ever eaten? |
| I don't even know what it was called, but it was some sort of headcheese/pate dish in Monaco. It was terrible. |
| What is your dream restaurant and what 4 people sit at your table? |
| Nothing Yet |
| My food weakness is...? |
| Desserts of any sort, as long as they are sweet! |

We love our neighbors and try to go out to dinner with them whenever we can. This time around we decided to try Home, in the Buckhead region of Atlanta. It was the right decision!
They seated us in a private room, just off the wine cellar, where we could all talk and be as loud as we wanted! The food was delicious - southern style, with a fine dining edge. Fried chicken? Check. But free range fried chicken that's been sauteed first. Grits? Check. But with poblano peppers. Short ribs? Of course. But the thi |
