Pizza is simple food. Americans make it complex by having too many choices and poor ingredients. Antico is what is right about food, simple, correct ingredients served with purpose and care. Moreover it is family style and you can eat in the kitchen. This is purpose-built pizza to be enjoyed at the store. You can not go wrong with any of the pizzas but start with the margherita to understand simple and good. The ovens are works of art and these brothers know they are doin |

Granted, like Forrest Gump, I am not a smart man "Ginny" and certainly feel a few degrees of foolishness for not knowing Beaver Creek was 5 miles from my house for the past two years. BBQ is great and the sides are delicious. The is full-blown American South at it's best in both ambiance and food. Support local food --Remember too they close at 5pm daily.

Why we have resisted the inevitable for two years is beyond me. After a week out of town and exhausted, I needed some comfort food and JCT was perfect for me and the wife. The menu may appear simple but there is great care in the quality of the ingredients. |

There are few places that can pull off a menu of sushi, burgers and a brewery and The Park Tavern is the only such place in beautiful Piedmont Park in Atlanta. We love parking our car on the opposite side of "Atlanta's Central Park" and taking a meandering stroll around the park to the Tavern. Often the location for wedding receptions and outdoor music, the Tavern is a hit for young and old. |

It is quickly becoming a weekday tradition to drive thru McDonald's and order 4 vanilla cones. It is a sweet treat the family enjoys, the window service is a lot of fun and total cost is $4.24. We typically do not eat any fast food but this has been a real treat for a few bucks. |

Brats and sweet, tangy red cabbage, I love it! I also love the question by the hostess of whether to sit in the Tavern or the Dining Room. Either way you win at this historic restaurant. Be sure to make your way there for Oktoberfest 2009. |

Yes, filing this recommendation under "shake"...BUBBLE TEA is quite the misnomer but I am calling it the replacement for Dippin' Dots the ice cream of the future, but the future came and went. Neither Tea nor Bubble in my book, this conconction is fruit smoothie with gummy-bear-esue balls in the bottom of the cup. Ted's is a good place to eat for the food and for the leadership in sustainable products. First the food: Bison burgers are delicious and the kids meals are very substantial. Second, the straws are paper, the soap in the bathrooms is Boraxo gritty powder. There are nice touches to Ted's and each location has reliable service. |

After living in India and loving life, I struggled to share the experiences I had half-way around the wrold. One of the best ways for me to share what I experienced is through food. I am surprised how many people have never had Indian food or simply have a negative opinion of "curry." Curry is simply a term for a mixture of spices that form complex, aromatic flavors--there is a curry for everyone, |

For people in the western US, the Waffle House is not well known. After living in the South for 10 years, the Waffle House is a place to do business or eat with the family and have fun. This restaurant works to serve the local truck driver, farmer and random tourist pulling off the interstate lured to the Waffle House by the large yellow block lights. To the Foodie crowd and Diner purist this recommendation may be pushing the definition but for me and the family, we love the food and dini |

Austin is one of the few places in the world that can make an old trailer park cool. "The Grove" is incredibly popular for its outdoor seating, good food and drinks. Served as an appetizer and meant to be shared this rich, spicey, cheesey is served over fresh cut potatoes. |

There are six locations in Seattle and offered at Starbucks nationwide. I am not a fan of donuts pulled from a cooler, but if you can't get to Seattle and pick one up at Starbucks, ask for it to be heated for a few seconds...this allows the fats to party with the sugars and starch--oh, and donuts like to party. There is a great selection of flavors and textures for these "Hand-Forged" delights.

I have very little knowledge of steaks. I was denied the pleasure of eating steak as a child because it was not readily available in Hawaii and was very expensive. I didn't know what I was missing and life moved forward until I ordered my 1st steak at a restaurant when I was 22--a shame I know. Today I trust my friends for their knowledge of steak dining and ate with carnivores at N9NE in the Palm's in Las Vegas. The meal was amazing and I was mesmerized by the Porterhouse for two. N |

Affectionately known as the "Gyro Barn" you could drive by this Ethiopian-run Gyro store 100 times and not think of stopping in to eat...take a closer look through the glass doors at lunch time and the crowds give away a great secret. The Gyro salad is excellent, with Gyro meat, onion, tomato, lettuce, dressing and slices of pita bread. I prefer to add heaping amounts of dried chilis. This place holds great m |
